Ranebennuru is a city in Haveri region in Karnataka, India.It is arranged 300 kilometers (190 mi) northwest of Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Other close by urban areas incorporate Hubballi (108 km) and Mangaluru (271 km).
Ranebennuru is at the topographical focus of Karnataka. 14.62°N 75.62°E. It has a normal rise of 605 meters (1,985 ft). One of Karnataka’s most significant streams – the Tungabhadra – streams along the southern line of Ranebennur taluk. Another stream, the Kumadvathi, which begins from Madagh Masur Lakestreams from Hirekerur taluk, enters Ranebennur taluk, and joins the Tungabhadra waterway.

Ranebennuru is home to a natural life safe-haven. Ranebennur Blackbuck Sanctuary is home to blackbuck, Great Indian Bustard and wolves. Incredible Indian Bustard was last seen in 2005 and perhaps locally terminated.
